Shane has been programing in Python for over a decade, in areas ranging from high traffic websites to big data. From large companies to small startups, he has always followed his interests in programming, performance, big data and open source.
Shane has been one of the core Scrapy members since 2007, when he wrote the first version of the framework. He is currently a director at Scrapinghub, which he co-founded in 2010 to provide state of the art web crawling and data processing solutions.
